Professor Bhattacharyya has done her MPhil in The Representational Theory of the Mind. Her PhD thesis is titled The Concept of the Mind and its role in Indian Epistemology: A Critical Study.
Professor Bhattacharyya has presented papers in several UGC Sponsored seminars in the International, State and National level. Some of her papers presented at the state level include The Seed of Non-Violence in Jainism, Buddhism and Gandhian Philosophy, Philosophy of Non-Violence-Buddhist Point of View, Nadi: Darshan O Sahityer Drishtibhangite Akti Sankhipta Alochana. Her national level presentations include Manmatha Roy Natyakar and Chitra natyakar, Samkhya Concept of Matter: An Exploration of the Contrast with Modern Theory in Science, Manik Bandopadhyayer Upanyase Nari Nisangata: Akti Dharsanik Parjalochona. Her international presentation includes Environment and Ecology: A Buddhist Approach.
She has published extensively in peer reviewed journals some of which include her writings on The Gandhian Concept of Truth and Non-violence: In the Light of Advaita Vedanta’, The Concept of Peace in Buddhism, Swami Vivekanander Drishtite Jatiya Sanghati Bhabna-Vedanta Sikshwar Proyojaniyata. Her contributions in edited books include The Seed of Non-violence in Jainism, Buddhism and Gandhian Philosophy’ and Rastra Samasya: Paribesh-Pariparsha Darshaner Prekkhit.
She is a member of Bangiya Darshan Parishad, National Book Trust, Paschim Banga Itihas Samsad and Sanskrit Sahitya Parishad.
